MILES rules.
What you need to take MILES tasks, the rules for every move, the strike system and how payment works. A move that breaks these rules is declined.
Taken from the old MILES rule book. Not yet reviewed by Ops.
Who can take MILES tasks
- An activated MILES account. If you have none, sign up for free.
- At least 18 years old.
- A valid European driving licence, class B, held for at least one year.
Once your MILES account is activated and your StreetCrowd registration is complete, you receive an activation email.
Rules for every move
- Don't reserve the car with your personal MILES account.
- Don't move a MILES car if you were the last person to drive it with your personal MILES account.
- Don't drive a car from a Hot Zone with your personal MILES account within 24 hours of a StreetCrowd move. Don't drive to a car that is available in the StreetCrowd app with your personal MILES account within 24 hours of a StreetCrowd move.
- Park in a valid spot that follows MILES rules and the city's parking rules. See the MILES parking guidelines.
- Drive directly to the Hot Zone. StreetCrowd can't validate moves that go over the estimated distance or duration. Going over them leads to immediate deactivation of your StreetCrowd account.
- If the fuel level is below 5%, refuel the car, otherwise the move can't end. The fuel cap shows exactly which fuel the car needs. The fuel card is in the glove compartment. For its PIN, call MILES Customer Service at +49 30 837 99699 and say you are a StreetCrowder.
- If you find damage, send a photo to MILES and tell them about it.
- If you can't lock the car in the app, call MILES so they can lock it, then contact StreetCrowd so the move can be finished.
Liability
- When you register for StreetCrowd and MILES, you agree to be liable for damage to MILES cars, up to the agreed deductible of €1,000 per claim.
- The full terms are in the MILES General Terms and Conditions.
