This website doesn't use cookies. It doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. It only stores two small items in your browser to make the site work, described below.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser, so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Browsers also offer similar storage, called local storage and session storage. This policy covers all of them.
What this site stores in your browser
Both items are strictly necessary for features you use. They stay in your browser, are never sent to us and are never shared with anyone.
- sc-banner (session storage): remembers that you closed the "Get the app" banner on your phone, so it doesn't come back on every page. It is deleted when you close the browser tab.
- sc-start-… (local storage, one per operator page and language): remembers which steps you ticked in the sign-up checklist on an operator page, such as "Start with MILES". It stays until you tap "Clear ticks" or clear your browser's site data.
Third parties
- Fonts, images and videos on this site are served from our own website, not from third-party services.
- Links to the App Store, Google Play, operators' websites and other sites take you to services with their own cookie policies.
- The operator sign-up forms linked from the operator and help pages are not part of this site. Mailchimp hosts them, they open on Mailchimp's own site, and that site sets its own cookies. See Mailchimp's privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site, and works out your approximate city from it so the site can show "Start in" your city. Nothing about your location is stored, and no cookies are used for it. See our privacy policy.
Consent
Because the site sets no cookies and stores nothing that tracks you, it doesn't ask for cookie consent. If we ever add cookies or tracking that need your consent, we will ask for it first and update this page.
Our privacy policy also describes purposes that run on consent, such as marketing and profiling. This website itself asks for no such consent and stores nothing that supports them. The operator sign-up forms are a different matter: they are hosted by Mailchimp, and an address filled in there is added to an audience that later receives campaigns. The privacy policy explains that.
How to delete what is stored
You can delete everything this site stores at any time in your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data. The site keeps working without it.
