wigo rules.
What you need to take wigo tasks, the rules for every move, the strike system and how payment works. A move that breaks these rules is declined.
Taken from the old wigo rule book. Not yet reviewed by Ops.
Who can take wigo tasks
- An activated wigo carsharing account. If you have none, download the wigo carsharing app and sign up.
- At least 18 years old.
- A valid European driving licence, class B, held for at least one year.
Once your wigo carsharing account is activated and your StreetCrowd registration is complete, you receive an activation email.
Rules for every move
- Don't reserve the car with your personal wigo carsharing account.
- Don't drive a car from a Hot Zone with your personal wigo carsharing account within 3 hours of a StreetCrowd move.
- Before you unlock the car, take photos of its condition and email them to streetcrowd@wigomobility.com. Tell wigo carsharing about any damage before you get in or drive the car.
- Park in a valid spot that follows wigo carsharing rules and the city's parking rules. See the wigo carsharing parking guidelines.
- You pay the costs of any tickets or parking fees from unlawful parking.
- Drive directly to the Hot Zone. Don't make any unnecessary stops. StreetCrowd can't validate moves that go over the estimated distance or duration. Going over them leads to immediate deactivation of your StreetCrowd account.
- Never go over 70 km/h in Budapest on a wigo move, even where a few roads in the wigo carsharing service area allow more. Never go over the city's speed limits.
- You don't need to charge wigo cars. Only leave a car at a charging spot if you are going to charge it. Don't use the charging spot for parking.
- Two StreetCrowders, each driving a car, must never drive one behind the other.
Liability
- When you register for StreetCrowd, you agree to be liable for damage to wigo carsharing cars and to follow the Terms and Conditions of Use of the wigo carsharing service.
- If two or more wigo carsharing cars are in an accident caused by StreetCrowders, the insurance doesn't cover the damage. You cover 100% of it.
Strike system
A move is declined if it breaks wigo carsharing or StreetCrowd (NECTURE GmbH) rules. Depending on the violation, the result is a strike, a temporary hold on your account, or immediate deactivation of your StreetCrowd and wigo carsharing accounts. Three strikes and your account is deactivated.
A strike
- Off-street parking.
- Going over the estimated distance.
- Going over the estimated duration.
- Leaving the car in reservation mode.
- Ending a move with the car parked outside the chosen Hot Zone.
- Speeding. The maximum is 70 km/h in Budapest. Speeding invalidates the move and gives you a strike. If you speed repeatedly, wigo carsharing can class your moves as private rentals and charge the fees for them, after looking at each case.
A temporary hold
- Driving a car from a Hot Zone with your personal wigo carsharing account within 3 hours of your last StreetCrowd move.
- Unpaid fees on your personal wigo carsharing account.
Deactivation
- Invoices still unpaid 30 days after they were issued.
- Leaving waste or dirt behind.
- Reckless driving.
- An impounded car.
- A damaged car.
- Sharing a wigo carsharing or StreetCrowd account.
- A speeding or parking ticket.
- Smoking in the car.
- Animals in the car.
- Eating or drinking in the car.
- Drinking alcohol or taking drugs before or during a trip.
- Three strikes of any kind.
Payment
- The app shows the pay for each destination before you choose.
- Payouts go to your PayPal account at least one day after your moves are validated.
- Payouts are sent Monday to Friday, except Austrian public holidays, as the sum of your validated and approved moves and any active bonuses.
- For each valid move, wigo carsharing also adds driving credit to your personal wigo carsharing account.
