Which Hot Zones are eligible to mov cars to?

Which Hot Zones are eligible to move cars to?

Only the red-colored Hot Zones currently displayed on the StreetCrowd App are eligible areas to move cars to. Please note that Hot Zones change over the course of the day. The zones you see on the map are valid at this timestamp that they are displayed on the App. However, the zones will freeze, once you open a car and start your trip.

What if my car won't unlock?

If you have trouble starting or ending your trip, please contact MILES Mobility at +49 30 20164975, and tell them your StreetCrowd member ID number- you can find this in your StreetCrowd app.

Where can I park?

Generally, you can park in any legal metered or unmetered on-street parking space within your target Hot Zone.

Do NOT park in:
- Private parking lots or garages
- Parking spaces designated for residents or other special uses (i.e. taxi parking, bus parking, food vehicle parking, loading zones, etc)
- Parking spaces that are time-limited (except the time limit starts 48h after you finish your trip)
- Parking spaces for electric vehicles
- On Switch - parking spaces

Detailed parking guideline rules can be found here. Please double check parking signs to ensure that you have parked in a valid parking space.

Do I have to be 21 to drive with StreetCrowd?

Yes. Maybe you are still interested in a few years, then we can drive together :)

I had an accident, what should I do now?

We are very sorry to hear that. I hope you are ok?
Please call the police and call MILES Mobility (+49 30 20164975) to let them know about the accident.
MILES Mobility is responsible for any car issue, and should always be informed about any problems with the vehicle.

Something is wrong with the app. The zones are changing/cars are not showing.

Please make sure you have the newest version of the app and try again. If you have the same issue again please let us know.

Is it possible to drive with StreetCrowd with a foreign license?

Unfortunately that is not possible as you are not able to register for MILES. This means you are not able to drive with us. We are really sorry about this.

Can I work for StreetCrowd without a MILES account?

No, that's not possible. You need a MILES account for your registration and to work with StreetCrowd.

Is the Gewerbeanmeldung mandatory?

Yes. We would be asking for the Gewerbeanmeldung within 30 days to give you enough time to apply. If you are not having your Gewerbeanmeldung by then, we have to put your account on hold.Gewerbeanmeldung is required by German law and so we have to ask for the number to be submitted to us.

How long does the activation process take?

The activation takes around 2-3 business days. We are waiting for MILES approval, they will check your profile including your drivers licence. When this process is done you will get a confirmation email. And you are ready to drive. :)

How does the damage report work?

If you recognize any issues or damages of the car please write MILES Mobility (hello@miles-mobility.com) and us about the problems. Please add the licence plate to your message. We really appreciate it.

How do I get paid?

When registering for StreetCrowd, we ask you for your PayPal email address. For each
successfully task you will receive cash transferred to your PayPal account. For each vehicle that you successfully move you will receive a dynamic payout depending on the length of the trip.

How, when and where can I fuel a MILES car?

You can fuel at the gas stations Total and Aral. If the fuel level is below 5%, you have to refuel, otherwise the move cannot be ended. The fuel cap of the vehicle always indicates
exactly what fuel you need to use. You will find the fueling card in the glove compartment. To get the pin for the card, please call MILES Customer Service at +49 30 837 99699.
Please don’t forget to mention that you are a StreetCrowd user.

Is there a fee for signing up?

No, joining StreetCrowd is absolutely free. If you are not yet a StreetCrowd member you can register here to receive a free membership. Please note that in order to become a member, you must meet the membership eligibility criteria listed in the general business terms.

For questions relating to the cars please contact MILES Mobility. For payments, validation of moves, bonuses, or the changing of personal information, please contact us at StreetCrowd.

You might had problems with the car before. Please check if the fuel card is inserted correctly.

How should I handle taxes?

As a StreetCrowder who agreed to the Service Agreement, you are responsible for declaring and filling out your taxes by yourself. We cannot provide financial or tax advice. Please reach out to the correct authorities if you have questions.
In the first week of the month, you will receive a credit note based on your previous monthly earnings.

I can’t register for StreetCrowd because it tells me to use the PayPal Button?

StreetCrowd does not support the PayPal LogIn function. Please register your Miles account using your email address and try to register for StreetCrowd again.

Do I have to follow one of the suggested routes to a Hot Zone?

Yes, you have to drive to one of the suggested Zones. However, you will get the option to open the route in your preferred Maps app.

After you have moved a car, ended the trip, and locked the car, you will get a detailed email within one hour notifying you that your trip has been recorded.

Our team will then verify the trip over the next couple of days. If your trip did not meet the payment criteria, you will receive an email indicating that you took an invalid trip.

When registering for StreetCrowd, we ask you for your PayPal email address. For each successfully task you will receive cash transferred to your PayPal account. You will get paid for your moves on the following working day.

How do I make sure I have made an eligible relocation and will get paid?

Please check to make sure that the following movement criteria are met:
The car you have selected to drive is displayed on the map in the StreetCrowd App. Please note that only StreetCrowd eligible cars are available on the StreetCrowd App.
You have parked the vehicle in a valid parking spot within the borders of a Hot Zone displayed on the StreetCrowd App.
You have closed all windows and doors, turned off the engine, made sure to click “End Trip” in your StreetCrowd app. The car is locking automatically - double-check if the doors are locked.
You will also receive a confirmation email from StreetCrowd indicating that the trip has ended successfully within an hour of ending the trip.
